Pastel. The light broke onto the water before it rose above the horizon creating striking lighting.

Pastel. I was entranced by backlit spent goldenrod across the meadow.

Pastel over Watercolor.  I have painted this view serval times. The silver light on the water ran up into the winding road. Moody clouds  hung over all.

Watercolor. I was entrance by the beauty of my yellow Itoh peonies this June. 

Acrylic. The August meadows of the Ft. Sheridan Prairie restoration  offer rich light,  and are abloom with Menarda, Rudbekia and Queen Anne's Lace.
